Seafood in Marseille
Seafood in Marseille
Recently I took a weekend trip to the oldest city in France. Marseille was founded in 600 B. C and was originally a Greek Colony. Marseille is still the 3rd largest city in France and full of history.
My favorite place in Marseille was the Old Port which is pictured below. Old Port is the center for upscale hotels and the best restaurants in the city. You can also enjoy the vibrant nightlife around this area.
Oysters
I am a huge oyster fan and it was one of my main goals in Marseille to enjoy some. The ones pictured below are grilled oysters with butter and garlic. They were fantastic! I also enjoyed the small lettuce salad in the middle that made this dish visually appealing.
Seafood Pasta
My two favorite food categories are pasta and seafood so obviously I ordered this beautiful dish for my main course. The shrimp, scallops and clams tasted fresh and made this pasta taste incredible. I had no problem finishing this huge bowl of pasta.
An Amazing Culinary Experience
Marseille spoiled me with great views of the harbor and the best seafood I've had in awhile. The city has a great culinary scene and I highly recommend any foodie to check out this unique city.
