The Grand Cafe Orient

Today we are revisiting one of my favorite european cities, Prague. I'm going to share with you my breakfast experience at the classic Grand Cafe Orient in downtown Prague. This cafe is not only know for its food but for its world renown architecture and history. Below is what the outside of the cafe.

History and Architecture 

The cafe is situated inside the House of the Black Madonna. The building was designed by Josef Gocar in cubism style. This building is one of the best examples of cubism design in the world and has influence many other architecture trends. In this unique building its not just the architecture that features cubism but also the furniture and floor plan itself. Crepes and Cakes

Is there any better combination for breakfast then crepes and cakes? Haha, this very sweet breakfast was a treat for myself during my last day in Prague. Featured below is crepes with strawberries and whipped cream and chocolate cake with apples. My crepes were light and filling with a delicious strawberry taste.

The cake was the real pleaser for me. Rich chocolate cake with slices of apples layered into the cake. It went perfectly with the whipped cream on the side. The chief of the cafe is know for her legendary cakes and has one several baking contest.
